DESCRIPTION:In our work as early childhood educators\, we know the importance of supporting children with empathy\, compassion\, and care\, but how often do we extend that support to ourselves? Join us for a compelling conversation on self-compassion as we reflect on how our own experiences\, inner critical messages\, and emotional histories can shape how we relate to children\, colleagues\, and ourselves. \nDuring this event\, we will follow a facilitated discussion from Exchange Reflections on an article titled Self Compassion from Tamar Jacobson. At the end of the discussion\, each participant will be welcomed to make a commitment to professional action steps inspired by the article. \nThis event will be facilitated by Southwest Ohio AEYC Equity Committee Chair Denise Steward. DESCRIPTION:Safe on Saturday is a Month of the Young Child event that has been held in Dayton since 2002! \nJoin us for free sensory\, large\, and small motor activities\, art\, music\, storytelling\, and health demonstrations especially for young children! This is a family-friendly event open to all ages. No registration or RSVP is required.
