In our work as early childhood educators, we know that the experiences children have in their earliest years help shape how they understand themselves, others, and the world around them. But what does social justice look like in early childhood education, and what responsibility do we have to help create positive experiences for all children? Join us for a compelling conversation on social justice as we reflect on the role early childhood professionals can play in helping children, and our field, move toward a brighter future.

During this event, we will follow a facilitated discussion from Exchange Reflections on Social Justice and Early Childhood. Together, we will reflect on two short videos, The Moment for Social Justice is Now and The Changing World of Childhood, and explore what it means to meet the moment in our work with young children, families, colleagues, and communities. At the end of the discussion, each participant will be welcomed to make a commitment to professional action steps inspired by the reflection.

This event will be facilitated by Southwest Ohio AEYC Equity Committee Chair Denise Steward. Interested in learning more about or joining a committee? Learn more here.

Registrants will be sent the links to both videos within three business days of registration. Participants may request an attendance certificate via email after the event.

Please note that, in order to facilitate an engaging discussion, spots are limited, so register now!
