Join us on the National Day of Racial Healing for a Racial Healing Circle.
What is a racial healing circle?
Racial healing circles are designed to focus on stories that affirm our common humanity rather than solving a problem. They are designed to go much deeper into the heart space by encouraging participants to share their stories, by listening intently to the stories of others, find common ground, and help us to see ourselves in the perceived other. In the words of Dr. Gail Christopher, “It is a commitment to acknowledging that unconscious bias lives in all of us, and is the spiritual work of affirming and loving ourselves.”
Facilitated by Denise Steward, SWOAEYC Board Member and Equity Committee Co-Chair.
Registration is required.
