We are all in different places as we move forward in our journeys through entrenched and challenging issues. Many of us shy away from discussing racism out of fear that we will make a mistake, offend others, be labeled as angry or racist, or face repercussions in our work or personal lives. During this event, we will follow a facilitated discussion from Exchange Reflections on an article titled Our Children, Our Workforce: Why We Must Talk About Race and Racism in Early Childhood Education. At the end of the discussion, each participant will be welcomed to make a commitment to professional action steps inspired by the article.

This event will be facilitated by Southwest Ohio AEYC Equity Committee Co-Chairs Denise Steward and Bella Frueh.

Registrants will be sent a PDF version of the article within 3 business days of registration. Participants may request an attendance certificate via email after the event.

Please note that, in order to facilitate an engaging discussion, spots are limited—so register now!
